  About me (reviewer): First eye exam in maybe 20 years. Reason for my exam was light sensitivity @ a computer all day (aren't we all?) 1. Check ur vision insurance for what is covered, who you can see, alternative places to get your glasses etc. This place is accepted by Davis Vision (haha one of the providers is Dr. Davis... anyways). 2. Agree with reviews about reception - very blah - you're obviously a walking dollar sign. It sounded like a sales pitch rather than an alternative eye exam option. $45 for a quicker exam. The regular exam and consult was 20 min (thats pretty fast). Dilation lasts 4 - 6 hrs / you can still see at a distance - just can't focus on phone. (If that is a deal breaker, save $45 by holding your phone at full arms length away from your face or better yet nap to avoid any possible HA). 3. Star Earners. Amy is easy to talk to and efficient. Dr. Hoekstra is efficient in the exam and he did answer all my questions. No future plan of care or reassurances. I didn't walk away confident that this place cared about my eye health. Stars for efficiency and their technology - their website is very well done (almost excessive). 4. Stars lost @ getting the prescription filled. Reviews said getting glasses here is a pain, so I asked for the prescription to take with me to get filled at another location. Costco optical dept rep said she saw the title of the clinic and immediately dreaded needing to call them, because they are rude to any other vendor. Then Costco had to call my insurance because apparently the office billed my insurance as though they gave me glasses. THEY DIDN'T. The insurance rep then needed to talk to me because the office wasn't answering her call. Insurance rep said she'd cancel the claim but if I got glasses, they would bill me. I did NOT get glasses from this place, I walked out with a prescription only. NOTHING else. Not even disposable sunglasses for having my eyes dilated. Did they mean to bill my insurance for glasses they didn't give me? So I do not recommend this place. I don't like leaving a provider's office worried... If you're curious about the light sensitivity, COSTCO HELPED by letting me see through a blue light AR (anti reflect - anti glare) lens. google it? Costco vision providers were not accepted by my vision insurance at this time.

  Dr. Davis and his crew are great! I did a review and complained about not receiving my prescription, but it turned out to be in my Junk email. This review is to correct the previous one and salute the whole team!
